Fee for legal services

Lawyer’s fee for legal services is set by an agreement individually with each client and is in accordance with Regulation of the Ministry of Justice No. 177/1996 Coll., on fees and remuneration of lawyers for the provision of legal services (the lawyer´s tariff).

When setting the fee, our lawyers consider peculiarities of the case, time and professional demands on the issue, as well as financial situation of the client. According to the matter of the case, fee can be set in following way (or by its combination):

  1. Time fee” – calculated according to the number of hours or other units of time

  2. Fixed fee” – previously agreed fee for a complete settlement of the case

  3. Contingent fee” – charged for a lawyer’s services only if the lawsuit is successful or is favorably settled out of court

  4. Lump-sum monthly fee” – calculated according to the estimated number of hours spent on the issue

If not agreed otherwise, the lawyer sets the fee in accordance with the lawyer´s tariff, i.e. accordance with the rates for non-contractual fee for one act of the legal service. The fee depends on the nature of the matter in question as well as on the number of provided acts of the legal service.

Apart from the fee, client is charged cash expenditures, which were spent in relation to the provided services – e.g. court and other fees, travel expenses, costs of expert opinions and translations.
